Help Wanted

Western Michigan University, Department of Psychology, seeks applications for two positions, a tenure-track assistant professor position and a tenure track faculty specialist position.  For the assistant professor position we seek applicants with specialization in either industrial/organizational psychology or in behavior analysis (broadly defined).

Preferred requirements include an emphasis in organizational behavior management, instructional systems design, programmed instruction, web-based training, and/or applied/experimental behavior analysis.  The development of externally funded research is expected. We also seek applications for a faculty specialist position in either undergraduate education and advising or clinical psychology. This is a tenure track position with service and teaching responsibilities and no research responsibilities.

The undergraduate education and advising position involves teaching introductory psychology, supervising graduate student instructors, and coordinating undergraduate advising and program evaluation activities. The clinical psychology position requires a licensed or license eligible candidate to provide clinical supervision in a Boulder-model APA approved doctoral program, coordinate the graduate training clinic, and teach clinically oriented courses.  Both positions would begin Fall 2004, pending budgetary approval.  Both positions require a doctorate in psychology or related discipline. A behavioral orientation is preferred for both positions.

Western Michigan University, a student centered Doctoral/Research University-Extensive, is an equal  opportunity/affirmative action employer and encourages applications from underrepresented groups. Send letter of application, vita, statement of research plans, statement of teaching experience and philosophy, official transcripts of graduate education, and three letters of reference to:
